Kannada Actor Rakesh Poojary Dies Suddenly at 34

Rakesh Poojary was a television actor and comedian who won Season 3 of the reality show Comedy Kiladigalu. He died on Monday due to sudden heart arrest during a pre-wedding in Nitte, near Udupi.

They said he died late on Sunday night, at 34 years old. At a mehendi ceremony Poojary collapsed and medical personnel pronounced him dead soon afterward.

Dinkar Poojary from Karkala district in Udupi has a son named Poojary. Rakesh Poojary gained widespread recognition through his portrayal of Hitler Kalyana in a Kannada television show.

His untimely demise has shocked Kannada film and television. Several actors have expressed their condolences.

Family members confirmed that his last rites would be performed at Karkala in his hometown.

Rakesh Poojary dreamed about acting in films. He has appeared in reality shows, serials and television. His mother and sister are still alive.

He was well-known for his role as Hitler Kalyana in the Kannada TV serial. He acted in Kannada movies and Tulu films after winning Comedy Kiladigalu Season 2 in 2018. He was a member of the runner-up team for this reality show.

Karkala Town Police confirmed that an Unnatural Death Report is being filed. Poojary collapsed while he was talking with his friends. The cause of death appears to be cardiac arrest.
